Your car is your baby.
You fuel it, keep it running, and take it in for regular check-ups.
And, like the diligent auto-owner you are, you want to make sure you’re doing all the right things to ensure it stays healthy.
We admire your dedication and applaud you for your commitment to car care best practices :)
So allow us to add a few more tips and tricks to that list!
First, check your tires frequently.
You’d be surprised how often this is overlooked, but it’s an important one!
If your tires are worn out or low on air, they can cause your vehicle to skid when turning or braking.
This can lead to accidents — and expensive repairs down the road.
And no one wants that ;)
So before you do anything else, check them out!
Next, change your oil as needed.
As a general rule of thumb, you’ll want to change your oil twice per year, at minimum.
But if your car has over 5000 miles on it or you use it for work purposes (like hauling heavy loads), we recommend changing it more often than that.
The last thing you want is for your engine to seize up because of old oil!
And, finally, change your engine air filter.
A dirty filter will prevent air from flowing into the engine — this puts excess strain on it, as it disrupts your vehicle’s fuel-air balance.
If left unchecked, this can impact your gas mileage and overall vehicle performance.
So get your filters checked and changed to keep your engine healthy!
