Some things are just a pain in the neck.
But not many things are worse than actual neck pain.
See what we did there?
Your neck is made up of vertebrae, extending from the skull to the upper torso.
Cervical discs are there to absorb shock between the bones.
All of the ligaments, muscles, and bones in your neck serve to support your head and allow its motion.
Under such a heavy burden, neck pain and stiffness are common.
Add poor posture, odd sleeping positions, and injuries to the mix and we’ve got ourselves a particularly vulnerable area of the body.
Typical instances include:
- A stiff neck and hindered mobility
- Sharp pain, local to one specific area
- Pain while moving
- Radiating pain or numbness, which often involves the compression of a nerve
- Headache
- Pain when palpated, or pain when your cervical spine is physically examined
Fortunately, if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we have a wide variety of techniques at our disposal to help diagnose and alleviate them :)
