The Gonstead Technique, established by Clarence Selmer Gonstead, is famous in our world.
In fact, it was famous in Gonstead’s world too.
It’s been said his office received over 1.2 million total visits, and that he would work for up to 23 hours per day.
But what made him so special?
Gonstead understood that quality chiropractic care must begin with the body's vertebral discs and structural foundation.
He asserted that only when the pelvis, vertebrae, and legs are level, are maximum balance and stability in the spinal column possible.
Some of the main focuses of his technique include:
- Foundational unleveling
- Intervertebral misalignments
- Motion disturbances
- Nerve dysfunction
Under the program of the Gonstead Technique, chiropractors focus on specific areas of the body one at a time, believing that an incremental, systematic approach is better than a piecemeal approach.
And this, of course, is the approach that made Gonstead so popular, and which sustains his legacy to the present day – because it does what it’s supposed to do:
Realign and reposition things in your body that are out of whack.
If you’re feeling particularly bold, we encourage you to come down to our office to see what all the fuss is about :)
