We understand how disruptive chronic back pain can be, {{contact.first_name}}.
If you've been living with pain, we think you deserve a chance to find relief.
While spinal decompression therapy comes in two forms – surgical and non-surgical – today we want to focus on the latter.
Nonsurgical spinal decompression is a form of motorized traction that has demonstrated positive results in patients with back pain.
It works by gently stretching the spine and changing its force and position.
This change in force and position takes pressure off our discs, which sometimes push against our nerves and excite pain.
The reduction of pressure in the discs also allows for the movement of water, oxygen, and other nutrient-rich fluids to flow into the discs, which enables the body to heal.
Non Surgical spinal decompression is most commonly used to treat:
- Back or neck pain
- Sciatica
- Herniated disks
- Degenerative disc disease
- Worn spinal joints
- Diseased or injured spinal nerve roots
Treatment lengths may vary from between 30 and 45 minutes, and patients may require 20 to 28 individual treatments over a number of weeks.
What type of treatment is right for you, however, is decided in consultation with a chiropractic professional, so don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you think spinal decompression therapy may be right for you :)
