Everyone (hopefully) brushes their teeth – but not everyone flosses.
Tsk, tsk – flossing may seem like a pain, but the benefits are immense.
The truth is, brushing alone only cleans about 70% of your teeth.
That other 30% is found in the spaces in between your teeth, which is where we find the greatest buildup of bacteria.
If your kids aren't showing any love for flossing, go with flavored floss – delicious!
If braces represent a challenge, there are special devices we can provide for this type of oral navigation.
Since floss comes in two varieties, waxed and unwaxed, it is important you decide which is right for you.
If your teeth are rather close together, you should go with a waxed floss, which helps the floss slide in between your teeth.
If there is more space between your teeth, you’ll do fine with the unwaxed variety.
Use 18 to 20 inches of string every time you floss – this is your armor against that pesky bacteria buildup we mentioned and, of course, cavities.
