It’s time to take a deep breath…
Why?
Because today we’re talking about air quality, specifically the air quality in your home.
Are your eyes, nose, or throat irritated?
Are you experiencing headaches, dizziness, and fatigue?
What about shortness of breath?
These are all symptoms of harmful pollutants found in the air in your home.
Often, one can treat these symptoms by limiting exposure to the air pollutants.
In other cases, however, where one has undergone long-term exposure to these air pollutants, one may become susceptible to respiratory diseases, heart disease, or even cancer.
But what’s causing the pollutants to appear?
Indoor sources that release particles or gas into the air – fuel burning appliances, tobacco products, building materials, cleaning products, etc.
Even your HVAC system, if irregularly maintained, can contribute to poor indoor air quality.
Why?
Because, if your home is not properly recycling fresh air, the pollutants will linger inside.
