The body is a complex system that serves many different functions.
From the moment we wake up till the moment we hit the sheets, our brains and bodies are on the go.
And, just like any other machine, our bodies need regular maintenance and care.
For the body, this maintenance is called health optimization.
Health optimization is all about helping our bodies feel best and operate at their fullest potential.
And who doesn’t want that ;)
We only need to allot a small amount of time each day to stay on top of our health and wellness.
This will help us develop some sound habits that will put us on track toward a fulfilling life.
So if you want to stay well and optimize your health, here are some dos and don’ts:
DO:
- Drink more water
- Improve your sleep
- Decrease your caffeine and alcohol consumption
- Exercise regularly
- Spend time outside
- Prioritize your mental health
DON’T:
- Skip meals
- Forbid yourself particular foods
- Beat yourself up when you miss a workout
- Weigh yourself more than once per week
- Overdo the naps
