As physical health fanatics, a question we get asked often is:
How do I know if physiotherapy is right for me?
And, honestly, it’s an excellent question!
There are several factors to consider when it comes to making such a decision.
So here’s some of the pros and cons to help you out :)
Pros: Physiotherapy can help you…
- Manage pain
- Improve range of motion
- Avoid surgery
- Recover from injury
- Prevent falls
- Improve balance
Working with a physiotherapist can help you improve your mobility, recover from injuries, and prevent future harm.
But it’s important to consider some of the drawbacks, too.
Cons:
- If your insurance doesn’t cover the costs, you have to pay for a physiotherapist’s services — and it can get pricey!
- It is time consuming and requires constant commitment.
- Your body may resist certain exercises, making it difficult for you to heal.
It’s a lot to think about — so if you want to talk it through, just reply to this email or give us a call!
