You’ve purchased a beautiful century home and want to get your plumbing inspected, but you’re not sure what to expect.
It’s OK — that’s why we’re here!
To put it simply, a plumbing inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of your plumbing system.
There are two main types of plumbing inspections:
The first is a visual inspection.
This is the most common type of plumbing inspection.
During this type of inspection, a plumber will make a visual assessment of all sewer and water fittings — checking for leaks and other signs of damage.
Additionally, they will make sure that your drains, drainage systems, and appliances are in working order.
The second is a camera inspection.
This is the more comprehensive option.
During this type of inspection, a plumber will use compact high-resolution cameras to look inside of your pipes.
This will help them identify any problems with supply lines or sewer lines.
Camera inspections can help detect — and prevent — future drain blockages.
No matter which inspection you decide on, the inspector will examine these items and systems:
- Sinks and Faucets
- Toilets, showers, and bathtubs
- Water heaters
- Indoor and outdoor plumbing pipes
- Supply lines and sewage lines
