What starts the workflow. Workflow AI picks the right one, so you do not need to know what it is called.
Describe the automation you want and Workflow AI builds it for you.
Every business has an automation it keeps meaning to build. Describe it out loud and Workflow AI builds it.
When someone books, wait a day, then text them a reminder. If they reply, tag them as confirmed. If they don’t, make me a task to call them.
Workflow AI builds your business automations for you. Describe what should happen, like sending a reminder text when someone books, and it sets up every step. It can also explain any automation you already have.
One sentence, four decisions
, , then . .
What starts the workflow. Workflow AI picks the right one, so you do not need to know what it is called.
When the next step happens. Say “the day before” and it sets the delay for you.
What the workflow does, like sending a text or an email. It writes the message too.
The “if”. It checks what the person did and sends them down the right path.
One workflow, from the first sentence to the day it goes live.
Describe what should happen and it sets up every step. Most builds are done in under 30 seconds.
Leave out a detail, like whether to text or email, and it asks you first. A few quick questions, and you can skip them.
Say “make that two days” and only that wait changes. Everything else stays exactly as it was.
Rename it, keep messages to business hours, or change who it sends from, just by asking.
Ask what a workflow does and it walks you through it step by step, even one someone else built.
Ask it to look over a workflow you already have. It suggests what to change and makes the change if you say yes.
Anything it changes can be undone, and you can see a list of what it changed.
Anything only you can decide, like which calendar to use, is listed before it goes live. It never publishes on its own.
What changes when you build automations by describing them.
Setting one up by hand means choosing every trigger, action and wait yourself. Describe it instead, and most builds are done in under 30 seconds.
You never have to know what a setting is called or where it lives. If something is unclear, ask, and it explains it in plain English while you build.
Open one you inherited, or one that came with a snapshot. It explains what it does step by step, then suggests what to improve.
Long workflows are where small changes get painful. Point at the steps you mean, or just describe them, say what should be different, and only those steps change.
Workflow AI does not publish anything on its own. It hands you a finished draft and a short list of what only you can decide.

3 things to check before you publish
Five AI-powered specialists designed to grow your business while you focus on what matters most.
Workflow AI is the AI inside HighLevel that builds your business automations for you. Describe what should happen, like sending a reminder text when someone books, and it sets up every step. It can also explain any workflow you already have.
Most builds finish in under 30 seconds, and you watch the steps appear as it builds them.
Yes. Ask AI can call the same Workflow AI agent, so you can describe a workflow in Ask AI, even from WhatsApp, and see it built right in the chat. Hand edits, the final test and publishing still happen in the workflow builder.
Yes. Click the steps you want to change, drag across a section, or just describe them. Say what should be different and only those steps change; the rest of the workflow is left alone. You can type or dictate.
It asks rather than guesses. When key details are missing, like the channel or the timing, Workflow AI asks up to three short questions first, then builds from your answers. You can skip any of them and let it decide.
Branches too. It creates if/else conditions and wait steps, and you can change either of them later just by asking, including the conditions inside a branch.
Yes. Tell it which app to use, like creating a task in ClickUp or posting to Slack, and it adds that step. If the app still needs connecting, that is listed for you before the workflow can go live.
Yes. Ask it to describe any workflow and it tells you what happens, step by step. Workflows that came in through a snapshot get an Explain This Workflow button at the top, which is useful for new team members and for clients.
Yes. Ask it to look over the workflow and it suggests how to streamline it and which actions to add. Nothing changes until you tell it to make the change.
Yes. While you are editing, Cmd+Z or Ctrl+Z undoes its last change, and Recent Changes in the builder shows you what was changed.
No. Workflow AI no longer uses AI credits. To keep it fast for everyone, a fair usage limit may apply, and if you reach the daily limit it resets in 24 hours.
Yes. Workflow AI's responses avoid platform-branded terms, so what your clients see stays in your brand.
Anyone with access to workflows. Agencies can switch it off in Settings, under Labs, and each sub-account can switch it off in its workflow settings.
No. Everything it builds is a draft. After it finishes you get a short list of anything that still needs your input, like which calendar or which pipeline, and nothing runs until you review it and publish it yourself. It also cannot test a workflow for you, so a live test before publishing is still yours to do.
Describe the automation you have been meaning to build. Workflow AI puts it together, then hands it back for you to check.
